How to QuaranTEAn at Home with Sultan Tea posted by Clearpay Team on March 31 2020

Homelife has now taken on a new meaning. We’re all spending more time at home than ever before to do our bit as the world gets through this global crisis. So, what’s the best way to quarantine at home? Obviously, with tea. Sultan Tea.

Here are our top tips for getting through quarantine and a new – temporary - world of working from home.

Get Up and Moving

If you’re not used to working from home, it’s very tempting to ‘treat’ yourself to a lie-in. But when that lie-in becomes too regular, it makes it increasingly difficult to get going and have a productive day.

Instead, try jolting yourself awake with a quick morning workout. Set your alarm like you would if you were heading out to work and force yourself up and out of bed without hitting snooze.

Even a quick 15 mins YouTube HIIT class will get your blood pumping and put you in a better headspace.

Dress Like You’ve Got a Video Conference Call – Even If You Haven’t

It’s the age-old debate. If you’re working from home do you wear workwear or cosy clothes?

Some people can’t think of anything worse than sitting at their desk all day wearing jeans or trousers but others can’t focus if they stick to PJs or sweat pants. You’ll have to make that call for yourself.

Why not try a happy medium and dress like you’ve got a video conference on the agenda? That might mean comfortable but chic loungewear and hair that looks good enough for the office.

Create a Workspace

If you don’t have a home office and you’re now working from home, creating a workspace is a great way to set your mind to work mode.

Even in smaller homes, try to separate your work area from your usual leisure zones and create an office-like desk set-up. This might feature a laptop, note pads, desk lamp and stationary.

Working from home is all about mindset.

Schedule Tea Breaks

Of course, we couldn’t get through a day of working from home without a few cups of tea.

Use your scheduled tea breaks to pause what you’re doing and try to take them away from your home workspace to separate break time and work time.

Book in Video Chats

It’s important to maintain some sort of social life through this quarantine. So, schedule in video chats to make sure you’re still getting the social contact we subconsciously crave.

This might be colleague chats throughout the day or video calls with friends and family in the evening. Book them in like meetings and stick to them.

Do Something New

Lastly, why not try to shift your mindset of quarantine and see it as an opportunity. This is probably the most time you’ll spend at home so why not use it to try something new?

You can search for an online course in something you’ve always wondered about. Even just read that book that you’ve not had time to read for the last two years.

We’re seeing the world pull together right now in a way we’ve never seen before. And all we have to do to keep safe is stay home. So, grab your favourite brew and get through quaranTEAn together. With a delicious cup of Sultan Tea.
